I tied ten ribbons on my pink bear and I will remove one each time I have another session.

One down and only 10 to go.  Happy Day!!!   I talked to Dr. Geiver today and he stated that after radiation I would be checked every three months and I could have a CAT scan or PT scan or?  In other words he is a radiation Dr. and that is his field and mostly they don't cross over.  I guess I will have to wait and talk to Dr. Rado ( chemo Dr. ) to see what's next.  I do know, I will get my port out in a year and then I will really be done....for good, and then we will have a big celebration.  Bill had an appointment with his Dr. today and tomorrow an appointment with Ken Call ( Physical Therapist )  at 6:30 A.M.  Way too early for me.

It was so nice to sleep in this morning. Tomorrow back to the regular routine.  Kristene brought Andrew over to help with yard work. He is saving his money to buy something special.  He already has saved $500.00 and needs $70.00 more.  I know, you are wondering what is he getting for that much money, well I will put a picture of it on my blog when it comes in.  You will never guess so don't even try.  Bill had him edge and mow the lawn and he did a really good job. He will get to do our yard work for the rest of the season due to Bill's back, not working so well ,at this time. Did you notice I said "get to".   I had some energy today so I cleaned my office a little, did 4 loads of wash and cleaned the cat box, boy did it need it.   Bill started working on cleaning out the shed, with Kristene's help.  This is labor day...so...we labored all day.

WE ARE ALWAYS SETTING AN EXAMPLE

The light turned yellow, just in front of him.  He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.
The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.
As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer.  The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.
He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.
After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door.  She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.
He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake.  You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you and cussing a blue streak at him.  I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, so naturally.... I assumed you had stolen the car."

I'm ready for Disneyland again and I'm going to ride on this roller coaster, since I chickened out last time.

This has been a very quiet, simple, relaxing day.  First church, which was wonderful, home, lunch and then I kept falling asleep while reading the paper so stopped fighting it and took a nice nap.  I wish you could see my little Maltese, Pieper, when she senses I am about to take a nap.  She jumps on the bed and starts hopping all over the place.  It's almost as if she is saying, Oh, goody, goody I get to nap with you and then she just cuddles right up next to me.  That's the only time she is allowed on the bed.  Later Bill and I were talking and decided to do a lot of de-junking around here.  We just have way too much...stuff.  We have 2600 sq. ft. of space and every bit of it is filled.  We figured, we have the room, so why get rid of it, even if we haven't used the item since we moved back here in 1978.  You know the old saying "we might need it some day".  Goodwill, here we come!!
Have a fun and safe Labor Day.  You know what we will be doing.  We figure it will take about 6 months to accomplish our goal.

Today was awesome!! Kristene and family came by for a while.  Then we met  our classmates for our monthly lunch date, which is always fun and uplifting.  This afternoon we had a wonderful visit with family members from Richland and Seattle. They were, our sister-in-law Lynn from Richland, her daughter, Jenny and husband Aaron, and her two grand-daughters, Madeline ( 4 ) and Julia ( 2 ), from Seattle.  Janene, Kevin and family were here also. We had a fun time visiting with everyone.  Their little girls are adorable.  To us they are our grand-neices.
It was just a very fun and relaxing day.

Today was a very good day for both of us.  I had my usual treatment and then an appointment with Dr. Fischer.  My arm has marked improvement.  Happy Day!!   I only have 11 more treatments and then I will be done with radiation. I'm very excited, not that everyone is very nice, cause they are but I won't miss anyone.  Bill might miss not doing the puzzles though.  After that I don't have a clue as to what is next.  Maybe I will ask my Dr. when I see him on Tues.  It is so warm this eve., and then cool tomorrow.  Silly weather.

A good nap is always healthy.

Robin's morning started at 6:40 awakening her because she was having heart palpations so she took a tranquilizer to help her relax and reduce the palpations.  At 9:00 she took another tranquilizer because the first one do anything.  She was feeling very weak so I took her blood pressure and it was 119/86 and a heart rate of 161.  When she arrived at the Cancer Center she asked the nurse to take her vitals again, which were then 100/78 and a pulse of 142.  The nurse said it sounded like a little choo choo train and told her to call her primary physician and lay down and relax the rest of the day, which she did.
I just checked it again and currently it is 117/59 and apulse of 77.  She is feeling better.  Tomorrow she has her radiation treatment in the morning followed with an appointment with Dr. Fischer.  Her arm is doing about the same, but thinks that the physical therapy might be starting to help.

New Update:  Bill came home this afternoon with very little pain because he had a procedure done.  Yay!!!   The procedure consisted of rolling him in his bed to get a cat scan, rolled him up to the machine and rolled him onto his stomach, very painful, and then did a CS and brought him back out.  Gave him a series of shots to deaden the area in the small of his back so they could insert larger needles.  Then back into the machine so they can see exactly where to put the needles, 4 on the right and 2 on the left of his spine.  Once they were inserted, they administered steroids and long term pain killers in hopes that by the time the pain killers wear off (approximately 2 weeks) the steroids will have shrunk the enlarged area.  We certainly hope this works.  We don't know what will happen if it doesn't work.  Guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it.  Bottom line, we are both sitting here feeling great.
