Diane....No dental appointments yet, but I will soon, just been too busy to put that on my list of, to-do's.  I didn't go to Janene's to sort out her basement because she had so much to do.  I didn't do so much today, other than the usual daily routine,  but Bill cooked his fingers to the bone.  Last night he soaked beans to make baked beans later.  This morning he spent 3 hrs. making  "homemade" wheat thins.  They were very yummy, and fresh, with no preservative's.  A very nice treat.  He then made the baked beans, which smelled so good and even tasted better.  He went on from there and made corn bread.  Now to make this even more remarkable, was the fact, that it  was done from scratch.  The flour, in the wheat thins, we ground ourselves and the beans were fresh and the corn bread involved no box.  He has been holding out from me with this talent we never knew he had.  Needless to say, we had a wonderful dinner.

HONEY CAN HELP BURNS HEAL
True...A study of over 900 people with mild to moderate burns found that honey helped wounds heal faster than some antibiotic creams.  According to another study, though, honey didn't work better on cuts or lacerations.  And steer clear of other kitchen burn remedies, like applying butter:  The CDC warns that doing so can increase the chance of infection.

COACH'S INSTRUCTIONS
At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside and asked,  "Do you understand  what cooperation is?  What a team is?"  The little boy nodded in the affirmative.  "Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?"  The little boy nodded yes.  "So," the coach continued, "I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or call him names.  Do you understand all that?"  Again the little boy nodded.  He continued,  "And when I take you out of the game so another boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach a 'dumb-head' is it?"  Again the little boy nodded.  "Good," said the coach.  "Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother".

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
"If there is righteousness in the heart, there will be beauty in the character.
"If there be beauty in the character, there will be harmony in the home.
"If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation.
"When there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world."
