Diane....I just had to have the baked beans for dinner again tonight, soooo good. I am looking forward to lunch tomorrow. It will be great to see everyone. I helped Janene for a short time today but we were able to get a lot done. I know Kareen will be happy, when we get this organizing accomplished, so we can start her bedroom. Right now I feel like a warm, strawberry-rhubarb pie but we don't have strawberry's or rhubarb, so I guess I will just have to dream about one. We don't even have chocolate, in the house, guess I will have to dream about that also. I gave up dreaming and ate a clementine.
GARGLING WITH SALT WATER WILL HELP A SORE THROAT.
True. Though it isn't a cure, "a saltwater gargle...1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of salt dissolved in an 8-ounce glass of warm water, can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat," according to the Mayo Clinic. Doctors believe the salt works by reducing swelling and inflammation.
The day after the Haitian earthquake, I got a frantic call from my daughter in Florida. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Nate's been called up by the National Guard. He's going to Haiti," she said. Then came the tears: "I didn't even know we were at war with Haiti!"
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Some days, doing "the best we can" may still fall short of what we would like to be able to do but life isn't perfect, on any front, and doing what we can with what we have is the most we should expect of ourselves or anyone else.

Goodmorning Robin - The beans, pie and chocolates all sounded soooooo good. Look forward to seeing you at lunch today. Hope we have a sizable group. Talk at lunch, love you
