We're off and running, and mean riding.

People starting to arrive knowing they are going to have a great time.  They announced tonight that there will be 100 bikes.

Cute trainler.  Very cleverly done.

Yesterday we had stopped, for fuel about half way between Kenn. and Baker City and noticed it could rain, pretty hard, for the rest of our way. We decided to put our rain gear on, which takes about 15 min. to do so, just to be on the safe side.  Well it did sprinkle for a short while but not enough to warrant, the time, putting on our rain gear.  I guess it is better to be safer than sorrier. (new word)  Today we had the joy of  experienceing lots of rain.   We arrived in Boise around 4:30, safe and sound. I am glad we took two days to get here, because I was ready to get off the bike, but then, it all went better than I thought it would.  We registered and took a rest before dinner.  We had dinner with about 200 TRA people, great fun.  Most people signed up, for fun rides, for tomorrow.  It is good to be here.

A little girl ran to her grandfather, jumped into his arms
and gave him a great big hug.  Then she ran her fingers
along his balding head, down the side of his wrinkled
face.  "Did God make you Grandad?"  she asked.  "Yes
honey, he made me."  She felt her cheek and then asked
"Did God make me?"  "Yes honey he made you too."
"Well" she shrugged,  "Don't you think He's doing a better
job now than he used to?"
