The kids brought in these beautiful flowers and stuffed cocker for Robin to enjoy when she woke up.
We checked into Kadlec at 10:45 this morning so she could go thru the pre-op formality. All the kids came around 11:30 to spend time with her before she went into surgery. The nurses came in just before 1:00 to take her to surgery. She came out about 3:00 and the Dr. came in to talk to us to let us know the surgery went very well and should be out of recovery by 4:00. She didn't get to her room until 4:30 where we joined her. She was hot and in alot of pain. We finally got some pain meds and a fan. The fan really helped, but the pain meds weren't doing a thing. Got more pain meds and she is currently resting and now it's 6:00.
7:30 - Robin is sitting up and taking nourishment (a cut up banana and 7-UP). The nurse wanted her to have something in her stomach before her next pain medication which will be a pill this time.
9:15 - The pain pill is working as it should and she is resting now. I will go ahead and post this now, but may add more later.
Goodmorning Robin - Thanks to Bill for keeping us all updated on you.......know you are not quite ready to entertain us with your wonderful stories of your everyday life. Feel better soon and remember..........its a "10"!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteYou looked GREAT last night Mom!!! a little loopy from the drugs, but you were cheerful'. Hope you get to go home today, nothing like sleeping in your OWN bed, no matter how nice the hospital room is :-), and it is VERY NICE.
