Kristene outlining the banner for our TRA rally.
Saw Dr. Fischer today, about my arm, and up until now he always had good news. No broken bones or torn rotator cuff, just nerve damage, I thought, no big deal. So, I was wrong, I found out today, nerve damage can be a big deal especially when it is on the side of, severe nerve damage. Those were the words he said to me and then in a matter-of-factly-way, "you will have to have surgery to fix it". No way, not now, we have plans for the summer and this just doesn't fit in, "fine" he says, "you don't have surgery and your fingers and hand will cripple up, like this", as he shows me. Ok, but not before our TRA trip at the end of the month. He said he could live with that and so could I, so the date is July 14th. I gave the suggestion of him doing my elbow while Dr. Droesch did the lumpectomy, only knock me out once, right, but he didn't think that was such a good idea, they would get in each others way. Funny man!

Goodmorning Robin - The severe nerve damage is not good but luckily they can repair it. That is the good news and you can have your TRA trip before as well. Mary's surgery is this AM at 7..fingers crossed it is going to be as slam dunk as the doctor told her yesterday. I took on a new little job...President of the Emblem Club (in March or April)...they have been after me so finally said OK as they have no one to do it and they will lose their charter. Most of the ladies are in their 80's. Anyway, Roxie is going to join and help me and that will be so welcome. She has always played cards in Emblem but never joined but we will have a new regime...they have a tendency to think they can hollar at people...that will not be done under my watch!!! If a mistake is made, it can be talked about after the meeting. New people, new ways of doing things. The dogs leave this morning...either they were to leave or we were to get kicked out of the neighborhood!!!! Way to much barky, barky!!!!!! Love you honey and have a good day - Diane
