The IRS Man

When you stay home all day there just isn't much to say.  Sorry folks the wind blew so much today, however, yesterday I gave you gals an out.  It really isn't that bad having no hair,  just put on alot of makeup and no one will notice, since they will be so engrossed with all the makeup you are wearing.
It's thurs. so my granddaughters came for lunch today.  I love it when they come and bring such enthusiasm and joy, into our home.
Diane, I love your idea of a raffle for t-shirts and hats, except, where would these come from?.  Anything we can do to pull this off?  We would love to help in any way we can. Hurray! about the Czpaszy's coming.  This is going to be so much fun seeing everyone.  I guess I should explain what we are talking about.  There is a small class reunion planned, the end of May, for everyone to meet at Lake Chelan, for three days.  It will be a big blast, since we haven't seen some of these people for many years.

ODE TO TAXES
T'was the night before taxes, when all through the town, not a person was sleeping, they were all very... down. They were shuffling their papers with care, in hopes that they wouldn't have to pull out their... hair.  The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of,  tax returns,  danced in their heads.  While papa with his c-pap and I in my night cap, decided to take a short summer nap, when all of a sudden they heard a loud noise, so they stumbled over each other to reach the door and what to their wondering eyes should appear but a short, little, fat, man with calculator in hand, and  stating he needed to see our whole clan.  I knew in a moment it must be an,..... IRS man.  I rushed into the house and he came running after, his fingers a twitching and his head all a-bouncing.  He carried with him his trusted, little pens and called them by name and they all weren't the same. Now inky and pinky and bluest and green. Come along browny, blacky, peachy and cream.  To the top of the table to the top of it all, now write away, write away write away all.  With a brief case full of notes and a cup in his hand he dumped everything all over,... with a bang.  He was dressed all in black from his head to his toe, not even a smile or even a hello.  His eyes how black, his cheeks how red, and his nose looked like he had a... blackhead.  :)  I just knew this would be a very long night, because he took off his boots, his coat and took his sweet time, which just wasn't right.  He spoke not a word but went straight to work, with his twitching fingers, he looked like a twurp.  By five in the morning I had, had about enough, so I took his 8 pens, and gave them a twirl and they all landed outside in a pile of green...shleral.  He gathered his stuff and with a sly ugly smile, he ran out the door, but I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,  no tax return for you and have a good night.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
There is a destiny that makes us all brothers,
No one goes his way alone;
All that we send into the hearts of others,
Comes back into our own...

  1. Goodmorning Robin........I went to the Kennewick Hall of Fame program lastnight....great honor for the Mansfield Family and quite enjoyable. Very poorly attended though...seems about only families of inductees (sp). Maybe they should save it until the All Class Reunion weekend and have it there. The raffle items....I was hoping at Kohls and some sports stores I could pick up a few things.......only have $200.00 of class monies so sure won't be anything great. The petunias you got me....one has flowered and is so pretty...purple with a lacey white edge. Hopefully I can get planted in the next few days as the weather is looking like it could shape up. Joe visits today and he will be so happy to be outside...yesterday he was an angel but sooo wanted to be outside. Have a wonderful day dear friend - Love you, Diane
