Diane....I had over 20 lymph nodes removed when I had surgery so it is very important I do everything I can to avoid lymphedema, not lymphoma. Lymphoma is cancer in the lymph nodes, which is why they removed the ones they did. Lymphedema is swelling and pain and the legs and arms due to the lack of lymph nodes. I do certain exercises every day to help because when one gets it, it won't go away. My main issue is getting my arm better, for when I fell. It is getting better, it will just take awhile. Our weather here is so much fun, we just never know what the next day will bring. It could be snowing one day and the next day raining, or very cold one week and then, like now, in the 40's. Never boring. Now there is fifteen more days until the big event.
A man in church enters the confessional and is pleasantly surprised to see a fully stocked bar with Guinness on tap. On another wall is a dazzling array of the finest Cuban cigars and a high-defination TV set. "Forgive me, father, " he says. "It's been a long time since I've been to confession. But I must say, the confessional box is much more inviting these days." The priest replies, "Wait a minute! You're on my side!"
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Some people plant blessings wherever they go. They leave behind smiles that blossom for miles and more gratitude than they know.
