A rainbow right in our living room!

It's a bit chilly out and we have heard there is a chance of snow coming this week-end.  It can snow, just this week, and then it can be over, for now, until next Dec.  Next Tues. is our 47th anniversary and the first day of winter.  It is also the longest night of the year.  :-)  Dec. is a special month, for us, in many ways.  Bill was in the Air Force and stationed in Alabama and since we had gone together for four yrs. in High School we were very sad to be apart, so we gave our parents two months to plan our wedding.  Bill flew home and after the wedding we drove to Alabama via Disneyland.  It was a very nice wedding, held in the Episcopalian.Church, located  on 10th street.    I really didn't do a lot today after our busy day yesterday.  We only went out once, and that was to Rite Aid, to pick up some meds.  Remember the reason we celebrate the birth of our Christ this time of year.  Don't call it the holidays, or Xmas.  When we do this we are taking Christ out of Christmas.

One afternoon I came home and was very upset to find a terribly messy front room and kitchen.  I began to scold all the children in sight.  "Look at this mess! Books on the floor! Crumbs everywhere! An apple core on the piano!"  Aaron spoke up.  "Well---don't just look at it that way, Mom.  Look at all the clean places there are!  See---here's a clean place!  And there's a clean place!"

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.

Canceling Larry and I going to the party out there tonight though as sure don't want to be stranded with him in the cold somewhere. Anyway, hope your day is good.........Love you
