Looks good enough to eat but not for me.  We made 8 doz. cookies, 24 muffins,  4 loaves of banana bread and 1 cake.

So many foods sound good but when I take a bite it doesn't taste like it should.  This afternoon I made blueberry muffins and they looked and smelled so good but when I took a bite it tasted like soap and not blueberry's at all.  What a disappointment that was. I had Bill taste one but he doesn't like blueberry's so that didn't help me at all.   Bill made some choc. chip cookies and just no taste, not at all and I love choc. chip cookies.  Also made banana bread, for a gift, and I had to have Bill taste it to see if they were any good at all because to me it was blah.  You would think I would lose weight, with my taste buds altered, but oh no not me,  I seem to find enough food that tastes OK.  The cake is a banana cake with choc. frosting, probably tastes awful though.  We plan on giving it to a lucky recipient, anyway I hope they feel lucky after they eat it.  Well, that's our baking experience for the day.

This two-letter word in English has more meanings  than any other two-letter word, and that word is  "Up".  It is listed in the dictionary as an (adv), (prep), (adj), (n), or (v).
It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?
At a meeting, why does a topic come UP?  Why do we speak UP, and why are the officers UP for election and why it is UP to the secretary to write UP a report?  We call UP our friends, brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen.  We lock UP the house and fix UP the old car.  At other times this little word has real special meaning.  People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses.  To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special.

Well, I have more to share but I will save them for tomorrow night.

  1. Goodmorning Robin - I would imagine that your house smelled soooooooo good with all the baking!!! My taste buds are back, actually never really left, and it is beginning to show on the scales........best get to walking or possibly pushing myself away from the table!!! Good weather is on the way my friend...woohoo!!! Heard yesterday on the radio that our record rainfall for June is 1.42" and we already have 1.27"...enough already..but the yard really does look good. Yesterday Benson and Joe were both here...Benson is 6 so he kept Joe entertained...Benson never takes naps but whenever he stays here we are so boring that he curls up on the couch and sleeps for a few hours. Fun day - he will be here today for a few hours as well along with Joe so I had best get showered and ready for little people. Love you honey and have a great day - Diane
