Northern Lights (Mother nature at work)
Today was a little sad because we attended the funeral of a very dear friend, Karen Mercer, younger than we are. Six yrs. ago she had breast cancer and then it went into remission for a couple of yrs. and then it came back into other parts of her body. All four of their children spoke so that made everyone teary eyed. They are a very close family so that will help them cope now and in the future. We know God's plan and know that we will all be together again and that helps but it is still so hard to see a loved one go. Be happy for them because their earth life is done and they are now on to bigger and better things. No more Drs.
SENIOR MOMENTS
Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: "Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?" Slim says, "I feel just like a newborn baby." "Really!? Like a newborn baby!?" "Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just....wet my pants."
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
"I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow."

Goodmorning Robin - Sorry for the loss of your friend....never an easy thing but it sounds like a close, loving family and they WILL be together again. Sami & family got their house so painting is on now so Joe is coming over today and tomorrow I will help her painting. We are babysitting Joe and Ben (6) on Wednesday but Larry will get those duties......been awhile since I have painted but sure I will pick it right back up. Bill said he is going to be gone for lunch on the 7th and not sure if you will be coming...Helen McCledon will be there. I am gone as well....very sorry to miss her. Have a restful day today honey - Love you, Diane
