Picnic area
Joyce & Dave's home
Besides visiting, we all enjoy eating
Yesterday I was looking forward to seeing some of our classmates and their spouses, today, but if I had known how much fun it would be and how beautiful, I would have been more than just looking forward to seeing everyone. A few month's ago we (classmates) on this side of the Mtn. were invited to a classmates (home on the water) for lunch, on Aug. 28th., in Seattle. Their home is located on Portage Bay which connects to lake Union. Absolutely beautiful location. Very serene and relaxing to see boats go by and to watch the ducks swimming close by. We were blessed with perfect weather, cool in the shade and warm in the sun, so if you wanted to be cool you would go to the picnic area and if you got too cool go to the patio where it was in the sun. Classmates came that we hadn't seen for a long time. I find it exciting to get to know their spouses a little. After all, they are just an extension of us, so that makes our spouses very much a part of our wonderful class of 1962. If I was meant to be cured today I would have been, with all the love and support I received from everyone. Bill and I came home very excited that we had made it first priority to attend the picnic. We needed about 30 more people to finish off the food.
Beautiful home Joyce and Dave. I love how you have decorated your home, in and out.. Thank you so much for inviting all of us.
THE ZEN OF SARCASM
Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The easiest way to find something lost, around the house, is to buy a replacement.
Hi Robin - I got the pictures on FB and made up the album I send out to classmates who are not on FB then I came to your blog...loved what you wrote and so I copied it and some of your pictures and put them on FB as well. It was a wonderful time........how hard it is to part for 6 months or so again. I am thinking we should have the next get-together at the Elks in Kennewick probably the end of May...the weekend before Memorial Day if everyone likes that. Anyway.....guess we need a plan. I am off to the golf course in the AM...did not golf all week and sure am ready for some gooood exercise. Have a good day on Monday...will probably write you later in the day...Love you, Diane
