This is a few, out of (301).....(1962) graduating class members. Gwen is in the pretty blue blouse. We are the closest and best class to have ever graduated from Kenn. Hi.
Usually the first Sat. of the month several of our classmates get together for lunch, however today was an exception, because we had a classmate in town to visit her family so Diane rounded up a bunch of us and we had a special lunch. It was so fun to see Gwen again after a long abscence. She is as cute and bubbley as ever. She was one of the smart ones in our class and I am not including me. But, that is ok.
Once a week Bill and I get together, on Mon. eve., with a few of our retired friends and study the scriptures. Once a month we have dinner at one of our homes and today it was our turn to be in charge of the dinner so we gave out assignments for everyone and then we do the main course. All kidding aside, Bill made the dinner because I was sleeping and he did an absolute marvelous job doing so. I think he knows more than he is putting on. He was just like "chicken little", got the recipe from Janene, went to the store and bought ingredients, came home and cut up all the veg. and put every thing together......all by himself, except in this story he shared with everyone.
Janene came by this eve. with two matching cloth head covers, one for her and one for me, now we can match...: )
Tammy (age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked, "Why doesn't your skin fit your face?"
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I found this Sunday in the parade magazine and thought it to be quite profound.
How is motivational guru Dr. Wayne Dyer doing since becoming diagnosed with cancer?
"I don't think of it as cancer," Dyer, 69, says. "It's chronic lymphocytic leukemia, not life-threatening, and it's been a great blessing in my life. We're all infinite spiritual beings having a temporary human experience. Find that within yourself."
Goodmorning Robin - My, what a great looking group of people.......and their skin seems to fit their faces!!!!!!!! (good story). Off to the golf course this morning...looks pretty nice out........fun lunch yesterday and wonderful to see Gwen again....what a lovely, fun lady. How fortunate we are to have such great classmates. Have a good day honey - Love you, Diane
