Diane....The best place to walk, at this time, would be the mall.  I imagine there are a lot of people there walking and having a good time and how convenient to go  shopping afterwards.  It is always fun to get something for half price.  We will see you Sat. with your new purse in hand.  This morning I had my last P.T. appointment, for a while,  with Sara.  I am really doing well,  just have to keep up with the exercises, for a long time.  After that we went to the movies to see "Red".  We all have different likes and dislikes, about movies, but for Bill and I, we won't recommend this one.  Our Granddaughter has asked for the doll, Lala Loopsy.  So far we haven't had any luck in finding one but we still have plenty of time.  Sure wish it had snowed today instead of rain.  Now it will freeze tonight and tomorrow the roads will be scary.  Hope everyone drives safe.

A brother of a student of mine showed me a photo their father had sent from Iraq.  In it, his dad is sitting atop a tank.  On the back of the tank is this bumper sticker:  "My son is an honor student at Clear Creek Elementary School."

Everyone is trying to accomplish something big, not realizing life is made up of little things.

Monday, November 29, 2010

Hello all!  I don't know about everyone but we are trying to stay in, with the roads so slippery.  We did go to our friends home, to meet with our group, which we do every Monday.  We read that we will be getting more snow or rain.  If it has to be, I prefer the snow.  Bill made a wonderful soup for dinner.  He really is a pretty good cook, he just likes to hide this fact.

As my sister relaxed on the couch, her head comfortably leaning against the crook of her husband's arm, her cell phone beeped.  It was a text message from her husband:  "Move."

Diane....with three dogs, and $50.00 a whack, we attempt at doing the grooming ourselves, but is much to be desired.  Good thing our dogs don't care what they look like.   We will be putting our tree up the 10th.  We have a yearly sleep over and the kids to deccorate the tree.  I always look forward to this time.  We hope all goes well with Larry's appointment.   Today was real laid back, church, nap, dinner at Janene's, home and now watching a Christmas program.
Careful driving on these roads.

Every year on my Birthday, I looked forward to my Aunt's gift. a scarf, hat or sweater knitted by hand.  One year, she must have had better things to do because I received a ball of yarn, knitting needles, and a how-to-knit book.  Her card read, "Scarf, some assembly required."

Saturday, November 27, 2010

This is Bill and I am writing for Robin as she is trying to do some trimming on the dogs.  Today seemed to fly bye like most of them.  We went out this morning and did a little Christmas shopping.  Robin picked out her present from me as this has been a tradition for many years now.  So I will wrap it and get it to her on Christmas eve.  It won't be a surprise, but she always gets what she wants.  It was really nice to have snow here for Thanksgiving and hope to have a white Christmas.  I enjoy using the snow blower and helping some of our nieghbors.

After I spoke at a grade school assembly about veterans, a student asked, "Were you ever in a war?"  "Yes, two," I said. "World War II and Korea."
The girl's follow-up question:  "Which war did you like best?"

We are safely home, and all is well here.  The best part about going places, is the coming home.  We had such a wonderful time, I'm glad we tackled the roads.  There were mostly trucks on the road today, big trucks.  If there ever was, a truck strike, we would be in big trouble.  Guess I will take down my Thanksgiving dec. tomorrow and put up a few Christmas dec.  I really don't dec. a lot, because I know, in the near future, and I will have to take them down.  Remember to keep Christmas simple so you can enjoy the Holiday.

The table is set - bring on the food

Well, now we are in beautiful downtown McMinnville, well close to downtown anyway.  It's not a very big town so I think everyone lives close to downtown.  We had a wonderful feast today, with dishes I have never eaten before.  The food just melted in ones mouth.  Most of the recipes Barb hadn't made before, so she used all of us as Ginnie Pigs.  We are very happy little Ginnie Pigs.  I didn't have any of the deserts because I'm supposed to stay away from sugar, but they all looked Heavenly.  There were many hrs. put into our Thanksgiving Feast and I am very thankful Barb and her niece love to cook.  We are staying here tonight and going home tomorrow.  We have had such a great time.  It has been a very long time since we went out of town for Thanksgiving.  Maybe we will make a habit of this.

As we were puting out cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, I accidentally dropped one. "No problem," I said, picking it up and dusting it off before placing it back on the plate.
"You can't do that," argued my four-year-old.
"Don't worry, Santa will never know."
He shot me a look. "So he knows if I've been bad or good, but he doesn't know the cookie fell on the floor?"

My nephew's boys - Forest and London

Well here we are in beautiful downtown Portland.  Just joking, we are actually at my Brother's and Barb's home.  We got here by 10:30 this morning.  The roads were pretty icy to Biggs Junction, but after that it wasn't bad.  We made it here in 4 hrs. so that's not bad at all.  Mick's son and family ( Holland, Rosa, Forest 9 and London 7 ) came from Cal. and it took them 13 hrs.  The worst part was when they got within an hr. of here and, because of the traffic, it took another 2 hrs.  Very frustrating for them But they arrived safely so that's what really counts.  Forest was named after Mick's and my dad.  We went to the IKEA store and if you have never been to one of these stores you have missed out on a lot of fun, but plan to stay at least 3 hrs.  It is amazing!!!
Now, everyone, have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving.  It's the best Holiday of the year.

Customer:  Can you help me find a book?
Me:  Of course.  Do you know the author or title?
Customer:  Well, I was at the beach and I saw this girl reading a purple book.  She looked like she was really enjoying it.  I want that book.
Me:  Ma'am, you're going to have to be more specific.  There are a lot of books with purple covers.
Customer:  Can't you search on your computer for purple books?
Me:  Unfortunately, no.
Customer:  In that case, I'll take my business to a bookstore that has better computers.

No picture tonight because Mr. Blog here won't let me post one.

Diane, we are leaving tomorrow morning early, anyway 6:00 is early for me.  This way we can take our time.  Once we get out of the Tri-Cities, the roads should be fine.  We have 4-wheel drive so that helps and Bill is a very good driver, it's those other people, on the road, I worry about but we will just stay out of their way.  I had a nail appointment with Gini today and it was so nice, because my last appointment, I had to cancel, because of my back.  It is, soooooo, much better now.  Kristene is coming down to take care of our house and animals.  It is much easier for her and this way our animals can feel better, being at home.  Speaking of animals, please don't leave them outside and make sure they have plenty of water.  They have a coat but not for this kind of weather.  We have a doggy door so they can come and go as they wish.  This has been a wonderful investment for us, since we have one dog that likes to go in and out, every 10 mins.  Thurs. night I may be at a place that doesn't have WiFi  so I may not be able to do my Blog that night so don't worry about me I will be back in action the next night.
Please be safe.

A devastated-looking....man knocks on the door of a woman known for her charity.  "Please, ma'am," he says when she opens up, "can you help this poor, tragic family down the block?  The father just lost his job, and his wife is too ill to work.  They're about to be turned out into the cold streets unless someone can pay their rent."  "That's the worst thing I've ever heard in my life!" says the woman.  "May I ask who you are?"  "Their landlord."

Bill wishes he had the canopy on.

We opened our side door and we were really surprised to see so much snow piled up so high on the door.  Bill shoveled this walk three times today.

WOW!!!!!!!  I can't believe all of this snow, in just 24 hours.  Sure wish it would have waited,  just one week though.  I hope this isn't a sign, of things to come, for this winter.  It will probably last all week because, according to the weather man, it isn't even going to get into the 30's.  I guess it's time to put the lawn mower away and get the snow blower out.  Our dogs don't want to go outside because it is so cold and wet.  We have to force them out.  I really can't blame them.  Is anyone going to Black Friday?  I went once and that did it for me.  I don't care what price things are, nothing is worth going through the rush for.
Be real careful driving.  Take your time and don't go out unless you have too.

Diane thanks for the email with the cute story I used below.  Today was a good day as Sundays always are.  We went to church and later went to Janene's for dinner.  We had turkey, mashed pototoes and gravy, corn, jello, peaches, and cheese biscuits like they have at Red Lobster.  Very good as always.  Bill, Kevin and the boys had a meeting at church after dinner so Janene brought me home later and it's snowing, it's snowing.  I'm really hoping the roads clear up because we are going to Portland for Thanksgiving to be with my brother.

And who ever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. "

Johnny's Mother looked out the window and noticed him "playing church" with their cat.
He had the cat sitting quietly and he was preaching to it. She smiled and went about her work. A while later she heard loud meowing and hissing and ran back To the open window to see Johnny baptizing the cat in a tub of water.
She called out, "Johnny, stop that! The cat is afraid of water!"
Johnny looked up at her and said, "He should have thought about that before he joined my church.

I know I was very busy all day but I can't remember if I got anything accomplished.  I didn't even leave the house today.  Janene came by and helped me get rid of some of my clothes.  Boy did we find a lot to get rid of but sadly I still have plenty.  I have trouble getting rid of things so Janene really helped me to clean out my closets.  They are collecting clothing and coats at church tomorrow for the needy.
Robin was really tired tonight, so she is going to bed and I'll finish her blog for her.

I am in the middle of making napkin ring holders, to take to my Brother's home, for Thanksgiving.  Well anyway I thought we were going to my Brother's home for Thanksgiving but it turns out we are going to Barb and her Brother's home, in McMinville.  They inherited this home when their parents passed away.  Well Dan, Barb's Brother, is very allergic to cats and Mick and Barb have a cat so that is why we are staying at the home in McMinville.  Mick's son and their family are driving up from Cal.  Well,  I asked what I could bring and Mick said that Barb had it all covered.  That just didn't set right for me so,  I said I would take care of the napkins and that is why I am or was, sitting here and making napkin ring holders for Thanksgiving.

It took me forever to wake up one of my nursing home patients. But after much poking, prodding, and wrangling, he finally sat up and fixed his twinkling, blue, eyes, on my face.  "My you're pretty!" he said.  "Have I asked you to marry me yet?"  "No you haven't" I gushed.  "Good, because I couldn't put up with this every morning.

Kristene is out of town for some R&R so we have Nicole, staying with us, for a couple of days.  She is fun to have around.  She's a size one and eats like she hasn't seen food in a week or more.  Pretty much like a chain smoker only with her it is a chain eater. Tyler is here also, he is the little 3 yr. old that they baby sit  a lot of the time.  His grandmother is raising him and she holds down two jobs.  Grandmothers shouldn't have to do that.  Had a good P.T. appointment with Kara today.  She gave me a bunch more exercises to do.  Between her and Sara I have over 20 exercises, to do, during the day.  Hopefully this will keep lymphedema at bay and mend my shoulder.  Only time will tell.
My girls came for lunch today.  They are such a, power force in my day.

My father is allergic to cotton.  He has pills that he can take, but he can't get them out of the bottle.

Diane....Sounds like you had a fun day.  Nicole (our granddaughter) is taking a construction class, which she really enjoys.  Every so often her class gets the opportunity to earn extra credits by attending a class at the  "Apprentiship Training Center".  We had the opportunity to take her there and we thought we had good directions but after being lost for 30 mins. we realized, for one, she wasn't going to be on time and two, we had no idea how to get there.  Nicole called a friend of hers, who was on her way to the class, with her dad driving.  They were just coming over the cable bridge, so we waited to follow them.  By the time we got there the girls were 15 mins. late, but it didn't seem to matter.  It takes approx. half an hr. to get there so we decided not to go home and instead do some errands.  We were to pick her up at 5:00 but we happened to arrive at 4:45.  While we were sitting there her mom called us to say Nicole had called her and that the class wasn't to be over until 5:20.  Bill needed to be somewhere by 6:00 so we had to leave.  We were half way home and Kristene called us with the news that Nicole had called her and they had finished on time.  We didn't have time to go back so poor Kristene had to go all the way to the class to pick her up.  Oh, the joy of raising a teenager.  Good thing, for her, that she is well loved.

I read through this man's resume and it was no wonder he was looking for a new line of work.  Under "Previous Job"  he'd written, "Stalker at Walmart."

Diane, I also love, split pea soup.  Glad to hear Larry is lookng better today.  Each day he will improve a little more.
I can't believe I didn't mention this last night but my week of a different way of eating paid off.  I lost 3 lbs.  YEA!  I was happy.  Since I started trying to lose weight a few months ago I have lost a total of 14 lbs.   Being at my normal weight is healthy and makes me feel good about myself.  Weight has always been an issue with me but I have trouble, with losing, unless I really set my mind to do so.  Bill lost 2 lbs. but I think he will beat  me in losing this week.  Well, that's enough of my gloating.  I had a very good P.T. appointment, with Sara, today.  After that we ran errands to buy a couple of Christmas presents, while they were still on sale.  We mostly give money now and just buy for the little ones.  Much less stress that way.
Enjoy your day!

When my boss returned to the office, he was told that everyone had been looking for him.  That set him off on a speech about how indispensable he was to the company.  "Actually,"  interrupted his assistant, "you left with the key to the stationery closet."

Monday, November 15, 2010

Diane, good talking to you today.  So happy you are able to relax a bit now.  Remember, when you need some R&R, give us a call.  I have a couple of P.T. appointments but we can work around them.
We saw Secretariat, the movie, this afternoon and we highly recommend this one, that's if you like horses.  This horse broke records that haven't been matched since.  We love going in the day time because there are usually only a few people in the theater.  When we came out the wind was blowing so hard we thought we would blow away.  There was a father and two kids going out before us and he told them to hold onto their pants.  I have heard of hats before but not pants.  We went to Lowes, after the movie, and when I was getting back into the car, I couldn't hold the door open, because of the wind, and get in also.  Bill had to hold the door for me, so I could get in safely.  It's really whistling now and it is making our dogs bark.  We had a nice lunch today, at Shirley's, with our weekly group.
Careful driving today.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I believe....That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many Birthdays you've celebrated.

A women called our gift shop asking if we sold toy phones  "It's to go with a casket ribbon that reads  "God called and she answered."  After hanging up, I shared what she'd said with a coworker.  Just then, the phone rang.  "You answer it," she said.

Sunday, November 14, 2010

Diane,  So happy Larry is now home, except,  it must put more worry on you without Dr's and nurses around.  I can't blame you for watching him all night.  You will be on pins and needles for a while. You can't cook such nice meals or Larry won't take over again.  :-)
We had a full day yesterday and also today.  We came home after church and started preparing for our dinner at 5:00, for Richards Birthday.  We had a full house and everyone had a great time.  We had a 3 yr. old, 2 yr.old and a 1 yr. old.  They all played so cute together. It is always fun for all of us to get together, which we do quit often because most everybody lives around here.  I will weigh myself tomorrow, which makes me a little nervous because I have been, sort of, working on this for some time now, but this time I have limited myself to 870 cal. a day so I better have lost something.  Being a little on the short side, we little people can't  eat a whole lot, for us to lose weight.  Really tired from all of this fun.

At our supermarket, I noticed a woman with four boys and a baby.  Her patience was wearing thin as the boys called out, "Mommy! Mommy!" while she tried to shop.  finally she blurted out, "I don't want to hear the word mommy for at least ten minutes!"  The boys fell silent for a few seconds.  Then one tugged on his mother's dress and said softly, "Excuse me, miss"

Today was a good.  We spent a few hours in the Temple because,  Phil's wife, Lana, went through  for her first time.  A couple of her friends, from High School, were there also.  We all went to the Olive Garden afterwards and had a great time.  Their food is so Yummy but I was still able to stick to my eating plan. I ordered a Parmesan Crusted Tilapia and only ate half of it and with no bread, it worked for me.  The entire dinner was 600 cal. but I am saving the other half for tomorrow. We went at 4:00 and had to wait 40 mins.  We thought going that early there wouldn't be such a long time in waiting, but it was worth it.  Brenda, friend of Lana's, has a 9 month old baby and I got to hold her, the entire time.  She is so little that you hardly know she is in your arms.  I had dolls that had hands bigger than hers.
We are having a family dinner, here tomorrow, to celebrate Richard's 44th Birthday.  I never have to ask what they want for dinner because it is a standing menu of Lasagna for both boys.  Sure makes it easy for me.

My son, a high school senior, went to take a national literacy test recently.  A sign on the classroom door read  "Literacy Testing in Progress:  Do Not....Distrub!"

Diane, that is cute...."took the starch right out of my skirt".  I have never heard that before, but I like it.  I understand you must have fear for what all has happened to Larry, so suddenly.  When is he coming home?  I know of a few people, that have had this kind of surgery, and their recovery was pretty fast.  What do the Dr's say?   I bought the Susan Doyle tape and have nearly wore it out since.  She has such a comforting, pure, and innocent voice.  I am listen to right now and I feel so relaxed.  What a beautiful gift she has been given and the best part is, she knows it is a gift.  I don't feel she will ever change in her personality.  Can you imagine how her church has been blessed by her amazing voice.  I was thinking of getting rid of my new IPod Touch but Janene came over and showed us how to use it the right way.  We definitely are not electronic savvy.  We learn so much from our kids and their spouses and grandchildren.  We are well covered by our family, in all areas.  Life is good.
Drive safe.

When my petite mother found her seat on the airplane, she was crushed between my 200-plus-pound father and another large man.  "I bet you wish you'd married a smaller man," my father said.  My mother  mumbled  "I did"

Coleen, that would be great.  I don't remember what a TENS unit is but it still would be great.  Oh, but back pain is contagious,  just look at us.  I was so afraid Bill would hurt his back while he was helping me, but he didn't, thank goodness.
Diane, I believe in prayer and miracles.  That is wonderful news about Larry.  You must be ecstatically happy.  He will probably be on the course by Mon.  :-)
I had a great P.T. appointment, with Sara, from Therapy Solutions today.  She is a Therapist and Psychologist all packed in one package.  She works with people to teach them how to listen to their body and how to heal itself through certain exercises and a whole bunch of other things.  Dr's like to give out pills, for a lot of things, that could be avoided, by the way Sara, and people that work for her, treat people.  It has been wonderful for me since I have more than one thing to deal with.  I am a challenge, it's my job.  :-)   We bought a new toy today called an "IPodTouch", however I don't like it, it doesn't have 3G capability so it is very picky on where, in the house, it works.  I don't like that.  My laptop is the same way.  Drives me crazy.  My back is better just not totally there yet.  I can't sit for very long and a bunch more things.  I said I was a challenge.  I wonder what is next.  Life is a ride, but a good ride, most of the time.  Boy I sure am talky tonight.  Must sign off now.
Have a great day no matter what comes your way.

Driving back from Vermont, I stopped at a vegetable stand.  It was deserted except for a sleeping German Shepard.  I stepped over the dog, helped myself to some corn, then opened the cashbox to pay.  Taped to the inside of the lid was this note:  "The dog can count."

Diane, I know when Bill spent the night with me, after my surgery, I was much more comfortable with him being there.  I know Larry will feel the same way with you being there.  Bill was just talking to you and he said Larry had a 6 bypass surgery.  Wow, it's a good thing he went when he did, or else it may not have been a happy ending.
Today was much better than yesterday.  I can walk on my own, very softly, and slowly, but with much less pain.  I am sure tomorrow will be even better.  I have a P.T. appointment again tomorrow and maybe she can help even more.  I really didn't do a lot today, just basically what I could, without pushing the pain button too much.  Reese has a real bad cough and the teacher doesn't want him there, because his cough is disturbing the class.  Janene had to go to work so he spent some time with me.  I gave him some cough drops and they seemed to help him a little. He has done this before, thank goodness it doesn't happen very often.  3rd day on my new eating plan.  It is going very well, in the fact that, I am eating more veggies and those little green things are much lower in calories than Choc......darn.  I eat about every two hrs. and pretty much staying full.
Don't work too hard today.

OFF BASE
After finishing his meal, my grandfather, a retired Marine captain, asked the waitress for the 15 percent discount the restaurant offered veterans.  "Do you need to see my military ID?" he asked.  "That's all right," she said.  "I know you were in the military.  I can tell by your T-shirt."  Grandpa's shirt read "Welcome to Gettysburg National Military Park."

Our lawn has turned golden.

Robin asked me to do her blog tonight.  This morning after her shower, she went to bend over to turn off the water and when she stood up there was considerable amount of pain in her back.  She was able to get partially dressed then the pain progressively got worse in her lower back.  I helped her finish dressing back into her PJ's, and got her to the couch and gave her two hydrocodones.  If she laid real still she could endure the pain, but if she moved her head or coughed, it was excruciating.  The inevitable happened, she had to use the bathroom.  With very slow movements it took 30 minutes to get her there.  From there I put her into a recliner, which was more comfortable, being slightly more tolerable to get in and out of.  That is where she has been all day with the exception of a few trips to the bathroom.  We are both hoping this doesn't continue tomorrow.  She had to miss two appointment today; one with her physical therapist and the other was with Gini, her manicurist, which she really hated to miss.  She really enjoys visiting with her.

Diane - We just read the news about larry on facebook.  We are very concerned for both Larry and you, and you know that we will be praying for you both.

Sandy -  Good to hear from you.  Any snow in your part of Montana yet?  The calorie web site we are using is -   livestrong.com.

FROM OFF BASE

I just asked Bill what I did today and he remined me that we met with our group at 1:00 then we came home.  Bill spent the morning, at the cannery, training the new people.  I spent most of the day doing mundain things, that would be boring to anyone, but I had fun doing my mundain things.  One big thing I did was quit playing Farmville.  I have been thinking about this, for quit some time, and I finally bit the bullet.  We started a new eating plan today, with the help of a program, on our computers.  We log in what we eat and it computes the calories and subtracts them from the total we put in.  This is how we lost weight some time ago.  Counting calories is the best way for us.  It's a new day.

Some of the Grand-kids on the monkey bars.

Diane, gifts don't cost money.  :-)   Can you believe tomorrow is Nov. 8th, already.  Get ready for Christmas now so you can enjoy Dec.   It comes so, so, fast.
I looked out the window and what did I see but a field of orange, gold and brown leaves covering all the lawns, up and down our street.  Our yards had been painted by, no other than, the "Paint Fairy", in the night.  After the rain last night, most of the leaves had fallen straight down and with no wind they stayed right there.  It was an amazing sight.  Now we need the "Rake Fairy" to come and clean up for us.  I forgot to take a picture, so hope it will be the same tomorrow and I will put the picture on my blog.
We had dinner over at Janene and Kevin's this eve.  They are really spoiling us with these wonderful meals.  Their kids have no idea, how nice it is, that they have a good dinner every night of the week.  It just isn't as common, of a practice, as it used to be.  We went over to the school play ground and took pictures of the 4 Law kids and also the 2 Killinger kids, on the monkey bars.  We did this a couple of times before, so, it is fun to see the difference, in how they look, and their different posses.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING
We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I believe....
That you can do something in an instant, that will give you heartache for life.

Diane, I must not be old then, because I have no problem sleeping in and tonight we get an extra hour.  I like that!!  Lunch today, with our classmates, and their mates was absolutely wonderful and what a great turn out.  We are so blessed to have each other.  Just one big happy family of 1962, who would of thought....not me.  After the luncheon, Bill brought me home and he went back to the "Clover Island Inn", to a mtg., where a few classmates are planning our 50th class reunion, in the summer of 2012.  Wow, 50th, how can that be, it just seems like a few short years ago we were all in High School.  Time "do" fly, very, fast.
This eve. we went to a concert, in Richland, consisting of all the seven High Schools, from around here.  Kareen and Eric, and a few others we know, are in the choir from Kennewick.  My buttons were just a bustin.  We stopped at Winco on the way home, and now we are home, pj's on, and all is well.  If you didn't set your clocks back, last night, and you are reading this on Sunday, you are probably late for something.
Have a great Sunday

THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING
I know I got a lot of exercise, the last few years,.....just getting over the hill.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I believe....That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.  Same goes for -  True Love.

Wow, Diane, you have been put through quite a scare.  It is much easier to be the patient than the onlooker.  We will try and think positive here, that Larry will be well in a short time.  He has to, he has a party to attend.
Had a good time today with Janene and Emilie.  Emilie had early release today so she got to tag along.  She wasn't very happy at first but once she saw the inside of the track bldg. she perked right up and had a great time seeing the beautiful things people make.  Amazingly, we only bought a couple of things but that is usually the case with us, we just have fun walking around and looking at all the pretties that we can't afford.  We then went to the Mall, mainly to "Bath and Body Works". (I love that place)   I had a few coupons and had to use them, to save a lot of money.  I love coupons!!  :-)  We left at 12:00 and came home at 6:00.  We literally shopped until we nearly dropped.  It was a very good day!!!

THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING
If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I Believe....
That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once n a while and you must forgive them for that.

Diane, I love to google.  I don't know what we did without it, guess we used the dictionary and Library more.   Today was another beautiful day but I see dark clouds up ahead.  I still have yellow mums blooming, very pretty.  P.T. today was very good.  While she is working, on my shoulder, I almost fall asleep.  Extremely relaxing.  My dog Sandy is sleeping on my foot, very cute.  Tomorrow Janene and I are going to the 15th annual Custer's art and craft show, in Pasco, at the TRAC building.  It's very festive and smells so good.  I can go all day now without a nap, I'm feeling good and my hair is growing back....Life is Good.  I bought another Penguin at Costco, the other day.  I must have at least 50 now.  They are so cute, I really would like to have one, as a pet, but Bill says it wouldn't be a very good idea....I just don't understand  :-)

THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING
The advantage of exercising every day is so when you die, they'll say, "Well, she sure looks good, doesn't she."

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I believe....That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, It doesn't mean they do love each other.

Diane, I certainly hope all is well with Larry.  Did you have a good time, at the mall, with Joe?  He must be a lot of fun.  We will see you Sat., seems like a long time.  Bill and I were talking about what the abbreviations of A.M. and P.M. meant.  He went on line and discovered that A.M   is Ante (Latin)(stands for before) Meri (stands for mid) diem (stands for day) or (before noon) "Ante Meridiem".  P.M. stands for "Post Meridiem" or (after noon).   Just a little tidbit.  Of course all of you probably know this info., but just in case you didn't, now you do.  We had a free day today, no appointments.  I like that, but tomorrow I see Kara, P.T.,  which is good.  Bill took a truck load of "stuff" to Goodwill.  I know we will be able to fill the truck again.  Nicole spent the day with us, picked up Emilie after school, picked up Eric, took him to the Dentist, bought them all a yogurt at Costco, took them all home and then we came home.  "That's all folks".

THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING
Every time I hear the dirty word "exercise", I wash my mouth out with "Chocolate".

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Boogie through life!  Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Diane, that sounds weird to have a stress test before his surgery but then again it is more money in their pockets.  My P.T. appointment went very well today, even to the point that I fell asleep for a little while. We ran several errands today, even bought a few Christmas presents.  It isn't that far off and I like to think ahead.  This eve. I went to Janene's ward because their Relief Society put on a fun project.  Everyone is to bring a homemade item and put it on the table to be auctioned off.  As we walk in we are given an envelope of fun money. That is what we auction with.  Their is a real auctioneer, that does a very good job and makes it real fun.  There is also a nice meal to enjoy.  I got a couple of real nice things.
Take Care!

THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING
I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks.  Haven't lost a pound.  Apparently you have to go there.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Men are from Earth.
Women are from Earth.
Deal with it....

Early Christmas present from Kristene.  She just couldn't wait and I'm having so much fun with it - I can mix and match the watch color and the bands, even use half of one band and half of another.  For the football games I use half black and half orange on a black watch.  Fun! Fun! Fun!

I'm trying to go to bed earlier now.  I feel better in the morning.  The blood draw went well however, I  didn't get all of the results today so I have to call tomorrow.  I am so happy tomorrow is Nov. 2nd and the campaigning and back biting will, pretty much, be over.  I don't even know what they are all running for since they are so busy finding fault with each other.  It's becoming dangerous.   Our Granddaughter was over today showing us how much candy she got last night.  It's a huge bag, over flowing with candy, practically enough to open a candy store.  There was even a couple of pieces she shared with me.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WALKING
I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing...

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then It's not the end.
