I am in the middle of making napkin ring holders, to take to my Brother's home, for Thanksgiving. Well anyway I thought we were going to my Brother's home for Thanksgiving but it turns out we are going to Barb and her Brother's home, in McMinville. They inherited this home when their parents passed away. Well Dan, Barb's Brother, is very allergic to cats and Mick and Barb have a cat so that is why we are staying at the home in McMinville. Mick's son and their family are driving up from Cal. Well, I asked what I could bring and Mick said that Barb had it all covered. That just didn't set right for me so, I said I would take care of the napkins and that is why I am or was, sitting here and making napkin ring holders for Thanksgiving.
It took me forever to wake up one of my nursing home patients. But after much poking, prodding, and wrangling, he finally sat up and fixed his twinkling, blue, eyes, on my face. "My you're pretty!" he said. "Have I asked you to marry me yet?" "No you haven't" I gushed. "Good, because I couldn't put up with this every morning.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I Believe....That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
Goodmorning Robin - Thanks for checking in with Larry and I yesterday...seems like all of the things I was doing have kind of taken a back seat to Larry's recovery but he is really bounding back now....yesterday was really a good day and today he is going to the golf course when his buddies are done golfing to chat for a bit then we are going to Trudy Collins Wards place for dinner at 4PM....Trudy was in our class. The napikin holders will looks great...sounds like you will all have a fun time at Thanksgiving...is your whole family going as well? We will spend it at Susan's in Kennewick, my niece......that has become a yearly thing for many years. Did you see Joyce Blacks new place in Mexico...Larry, Bill and I have decided Mexico is not the best place to go but they dooo have warm weather. Anyway, hope to drag Larry down this winter. Have a good day honey...love you both - Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat do the napkin holders look like? I think we'll be in Apache Junction, AZ for Thanksgiving and we'll take my 97 year old aunt out to dinner. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful world.
