The table is set - bring on the food

Well, now we are in beautiful downtown McMinnville, well close to downtown anyway.  It's not a very big town so I think everyone lives close to downtown.  We had a wonderful feast today, with dishes I have never eaten before.  The food just melted in ones mouth.  Most of the recipes Barb hadn't made before, so she used all of us as Ginnie Pigs.  We are very happy little Ginnie Pigs.  I didn't have any of the deserts because I'm supposed to stay away from sugar, but they all looked Heavenly.  There were many hrs. put into our Thanksgiving Feast and I am very thankful Barb and her niece love to cook.  We are staying here tonight and going home tomorrow.  We have had such a great time.  It has been a very long time since we went out of town for Thanksgiving.  Maybe we will make a habit of this.

As we were puting out cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, I accidentally dropped one. "No problem," I said, picking it up and dusting it off before placing it back on the plate.
"You can't do that," argued my four-year-old.
"Don't worry, Santa will never know."
He shot me a look. "So he knows if I've been bad or good, but he doesn't know the cookie fell on the floor?"

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The best classroom in the world, is at thefeet of an elderly person.
