Left to right: The medication patch, yellow silly putty that I use to do some of my exercises, a light compression sleeve for night time and a heavy compression sleeve to wear during the day.
Oh Boy!! No radiation for two days. Nice to have a break. The waiting room was packed today because the Dr's had an emergency surgery so it puts radiation patients behind. I had to wait 40 mins., which I didn't mind. It usually takes about a ten min. wait. I am sure it took the rest of the day for catch-up. We did banking and then Physical Therapy for my arm. He does ultrasound on my scar and then massages it with some cream. Today he put on a patch, of sort, that administers ibuprofen through the skin and there is a light on the outside, so when it is done the light turns off. It is a thick rubber, sort of shaped like a knuckle bandaid, except it is 5 1/2" long and 3 1/2" wide. It is supposed to help with the swelling and pain but I didn't notice any difference. Maybe it takes more than one time for the application to take effect.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
Good Morning Robin - Sure sorry you are still having problems with your arm...makes radiation sound like a piece of cake!!! Meeting Shirley Monday at 10AM at Kraft Warehouse and we are going to get the basket, big orange and black bow for Joyce's basket and get that done (I have all the stuff). Then I need to take an inventory of picnic supplies that the class has...think we are in pretty good shape though. Del and Trude are home for 10 days and thinking dinner would be good for those of us who would like toooo.....are you on? I think Monday or Tuesday nights would work for us...please drop me a note and let me know if you would like to have dinner with them and when...surely we can all work something out. OK honey, have a wonderful weekend without radiation!!! Love you, Diane
ReplyDeleteBy the way......Joe spent the night and he is outside playing on his new trike...I got some new golf clubs yesterday as well. Not sure if they will do much to enhance my game but they sure are pretty..........Love you, Diane
ReplyDeleteRobin;
ReplyDeleteBoy, you are really busy again with doctors...sorry to hear that, but I know they will make it "all better". I am so glad you had a great time at your family reunion.
I am glad you are signed in for the cruise. See you in Seattle next week.
Love you, Shirley
