Larry, you are so funny....ha, ha. Wouldn't you be shocked if I told you, yes, I did get those for Pasco colors, but then that would shock me also. I will admit, they are very pretty colors. And, you are welcome. : )
Zak, what a nice surprise to hear from you. I am so happy I can make you laugh through my stories. Chandler tells me you are taking very good care of her and that makes me very happy. She is very special to me.
Hi Amanda and Baileigh (granddaughter and great-granddaughter) I love you.
Diane, I just make cloth scares, that I also call a hat. Janene is the one that will do the crocheting. I would never wear a hat that I had chrocheted, it would be very scary and grotesque-looking, for anyone to see it on my head. Janene has tried to teach me and it is so funny watching her, trying to teach me, when I am trying so hard. I am sure she would be more than happy to show you how she does it when she figures out the pattern she wants to use. I am excited because the yarn she has purchased is very cute, funky, but cute, I like that.
Janene and I making apple juice.
I can do things like this as long as it is outside.
Sing along,
Just thinkin about TOMORROW, clears away the cobwebs, and the sorrow, till.... their's none. When I'm stuck with a day that's gray and lonely, I just stick out my chin.... and grin.... and sigh, OH! The sun will come out TOMORROW, so ya gotta hang on till TOMORROW, come what may, TOMORROW, TOMORROW, I love ya TOMORROW, your only a day away.
I go in to the cancer center tomorrow morning at 9:30 and the adventure begins. I am so excited. I can just see it all now after we go to bed. It will go something like this...."What time is it Bill?" "1:30 A.M." zzzzzzzzzzz" What time is it Bill?" shake, shake "What?" "What time is it?" Takes a look. "20 min. after the last time you asked. Go back to sleep." "ok" zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz The sun is coming up peaking through the window. "Bill, Bill, what time is it?" He groggily looks at the clock, "5:30 A.M. Go back to sleep" "OK" Poor Bill, he can't go back to sleep so he gets up, gets ready for the day, reads the paper, plays sudoku, reads his e-mail and then comes to wake me up at 7:30. Nudge, nudge, nudge, "wake up honey, it's time to get ready for your exciting day" "Already? I'm so tired". True story, I promise.
Brittany (age 4) had an ear ache and wanted a pain killer. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a child-proof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's me?"
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Be kind to unkind people,
(they probably need it the most)
Good Luck today, my dear friend!!!!!!!!! Sure looks like you had a good time making applejuice yesterday......now, that is good for one's soul. I am off to WalMart or a place like that to get some flowers this morning and Joe and I will be planting today. The weather looks just perfect this morning......do you think shorts?? Maybe I will wait a few days for that. Good luck today honey..I will be thinking of you. Love you, Diane
ReplyDeleteI know she is a very special girl to you... It's pretty special to me too! I promise to take care of her.
ReplyDeleteWhen your feeling better & I'm back in town we were going to stop by and say hi. Chandler has been telling me for a long time now that you only live a couple blocks down from my parents house & we've never came down!!!
Hi Robin! (I lost your blog address; Diane gave it back....) I hear it's a pretty day there; hope that and everybody's love helps you keep smiling. I read the cute story about your 4-yr-old GD. My littlest one who just turned 4 got skates for her BD. I drew her pictures for a pointer about using one foot for a brake. She said, "But I already know.." and within a minute landed with a big boom on the hardwood floor. Biggest wounds to the lil ego. 2 days later she's made great progress and said the picture helped. I said I used to skate a lot when I was a little girl and she replied, "Well you're still a girl but just not little any more." Darn.
