OK, I'll hold him down for you!

Since this is Wed. I only have 2 more days of radiation and then a 2 day break.  I think this would be hard if there wasn't a break.  We decided not to attend the fair tomorrow because of the heat and too many little bugs floating around so we are going to the movies to see "Nanny McPhee Returns".
I saw my Physical Therapist today and it seems my strength, in my hand, has improved.  That's because I have been a good girl in doing my exercises.  I asked him about the pain and he said it will take a long time for the nerves to heal.  That is not what I wanted to hear.  Oh well, this too shall pass, just not in my time frame.  I was reading our church magazine today and came across something that our Prophet, Pres. Monson said and I want to share it with you.
"I testify to you that our promised blessings are beyond measure.  Though the storm clouds may gather, though the rains may pour down upon us, our knowledge of the gospel and our love of our Heavenly father and of our Savior will comfort and sustain us and bring joy to our hearts as we walk uprightly and keep the commandments.  There will be nothing in this world that can defeat us."
I know this to be true.. because I feel comforted and I have Joy in my heart.  I have a wonderful  family and good  friends that offer prayers in my behalf.  I couldn't do this without the power of prayer and love I feel.

That is my thought for the day.

  1. Good Morning Robin - Good call not to attend the fair yesterday......hotter than blazes!!!! Fun time though and Joe enjoyed greatly...so much fun to see thru the eyes of a child. Today is Larrys consult with the knee doctor so we will pick young Joe up in Richland and take him with us...will take some of his matchbox cars to keep him occupied. Packing stuff for the trip to Seattle on Friday today and then the fun begins on the weekend - Have a good day honey and those exercises will help...even though I know they are painful - Love you, Diane

  2. Love the picture and that quote really hit home for me. Thanks for sharing that. I'm sorry it's so painful but it will be worth it.
