I don't know if that's true or not; I have been that close to one. |
This was one busy day, starting with radiation (8 to go) and then I had to have my port flushed, after she drew blood. Every four to six weeks I have to have it flushed by running saline solution through it, to keep down infection. Several of us classmates attended a funeral today for a fellow classmate. He died of prostate cancer which he had suffered from for several years. It is so hard to lose one of your own knowing we are all the same age. We have lost three of our friends this year. It happens.
At 5:00 I had my nails done. Usually we do this in the morning but Gini was out of town and we were out of town so my schedule got messed up. She just found out her mother has a rare type of a lymph node cancer. I hope I can offer support to her.
Every one, have a wonderful, safe day.
KIDS ARE QUICK
Teacher: "Glenn, how do you spell crocodile?"
Glenn: "K-R-O-K-O-D-I-A-L"
Teacher: "No, that's wrong".
Glenn: "Maybe it is wrong, but you asked me how "I" spell it."
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
"The greatest lesson of life is to know that everything happens for the best. Every no, leads you that much closer to a yes."
Good Morning....Grrr........the poster did not post again!!!! Wonderful to spend time with you and Bill yesterday, regardless of the circumstances. You are right, it is very unsettling to lose a classmate...and 3 already this year is 3 toooo many!!! Larry is golfing this AM, Joe is coming over to visit today, have to get a dish ready for a Sun Willows picnic tomorrow as well as a BBQ at the Elks, both on Saturday. Imagine you feel like to cats meow with your beautiful nails......Have a good day honey, Love you, Diane
